Over the past few weeks, the children have been learning about the importance of gratitude, generosity and taking time to appreciate the many blessings in our lives. It has been wonderful to see them embracing these values through a variety of activities linked to our Harvest celebrations.

One of the highlights on our Wellbeing Day was the Harvest Performance. The children worked incredibly hard learning songs and their readings.  They truly shone when performing in front of parents and our school family. Standing confidently before such a large audience is a huge achievement, and we were extremely proud of the enthusiasm, confidence and joy they displayed.

As part of our Harvest learning, the children spent time reflecting on gratitude and identifying five ways in which they are thankful. Their thoughtful responses included gratitude for their families, friends, homes, food, health, teachers and opportunities to learn.

Another enjoyable part of our Harvest celebrations was our Sponsored Wellbeing Walk. The children thoroughly enjoyed spending time outdoors, walking together and taking part in conversations about gratitude and wellbeing. Throughout the walk, children chatted with friends about the things they were thankful for and reflected on how acts of kindness can make a difference to others. It was wonderful to see them supporting one another, enjoying nature and recognising the positive impact of spending time together.

Harvest is also a time to think about those who may need extra support. Our children demonstrated great generosity by bringing in tins and food donations to help others in our local community.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our day and have celebrated not only the Harvest season but also the values of gratitude, generosity and caring for others that make our school community so special.
