Year 5 have had such an amazing day for our ‘growing gratitude’ at Harvest time, and what a day it has been. It was delightful to see the kind generosity of our pupils and their families with all the fabulous tins of food brought in, which were then gathered together in the hall. The collection across the whole school in amazing! Pupils then learned all about Harvest festival and what it means, as well as how it is celebrated around the world. Pupils were then given a chance to connect with one another and share their thoughts of gratitude as they ate biscuits and drank juice, the discussions they had were deeply reflective and clearly demonstrated that they had a lot to be grateful for. During the afternoon, as part of a whole school activity, we went on a lovely walk enjoying the beauty of the natural wonder around us and enjoying the last of the glorious weather.
