Well, this has been a memorable week! The class finally got to get their hands some paint and used ‘tint’ and ‘shade’ to create a range of colour scales. They showed superb focus, control and understanding.

In Science we’ve been learning about our teeth and wanted to find out what impact different liquids can have on them. The classroom was filled with ‘oooh’s, ‘aaaah’s and a fair amount of dry-heaving, as it turns out a tumbler full of vinegar packs a fairly hefty punch!. We were all shocked by the amount of harm that can be done to boiled eggs after just 2 days in liquid but equally impressed by the way that brushing with toothpaste can reverse a lot of that damage.

Of course, Wednesday was Well Being Day and Miss Griffiths and I were blown away by the creativity on show during a gratitude poetry session. We enjoyed a wonderful walk together as a school and filled the rest of the day with mindful colouring, a classroom café and plenty of fun at breaktimes.

I look forward to another (albeit slightly less pungent) week of fun on Monday.
