On Monday, our Year 5 pupils were giving the opportunity to visit our local Library for a fantastic session all about Roald Dahl. After a short and pleasant walk, pupils were greeted by Library staff and given a workshop about some of the different books written by the famous author. I was so impressed by the knowledge of our pupils, as well as the number of books they have read by Roald Dahl. They then had to go on a ‘treasure hunt’ around the library, looking for illustrations from various books that were placed around the premises, and then had to state which book it was from. Pupils performed very well I am pleased to say, then followed it up by using inspiration from Charlie and the chocolate factor to design their own chocolate bar using interesting ingredients.
