Our Science unit (Uses of everyday materials) saw us turn into budding engineers this week. After investigating different materials and their properties, we were set a challenge- to build a bridge.  Each group was given one type of material (wood, paper or foil), some scissors, some tape and a ten minute timer. We saw some fantastic examples of team work!

Once the bridges were constructed, we added weights to test how strong they were. We were on the edge of ours seats waiting to see how much weight they could take before collapsing! I wonder if your child can share which material was the most suitable in our investigation?
