This week, Year 6 enjoyed a fantastic visit to our local library, where we took part in a special activity to celebrate Roald Dahl's birthday. As part of the celebration, the children completed a Roald Dahl-themed treasure hunt around the library. Hidden throughout the building were images from Roald Dahl stories, and the children had to identify which book each image came from. It was wonderful to see how enthusiastic everyone was, and I was particularly impressed by the number of Roald Dahl books the children had read. Many pupils were able to recognise the characters and illustrations straight away, demonstrating their excellent knowledge and love of reading. The children then were able to select a book of their choice to bring back to school and read in class.
